John Elway And Wine Company, 7Cellars, Doubles Donation To Veteran Non-Profit, Team Rubicon, In Honor of Veteran’s Day
John Elway, our beloved hall-of-fame quarterback and current president and GM of the Broncos, has always shown tremendous support of our Veterans. This year, he is showing that support in a different way, with his wine company, 7Cellars.
Elway, who visited our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq back in 2004 originally created 7Cellars back in 2013, to serve at his steakhouses. Since then, the brand has taken on a life of its own. In his words, Elway wanted to create “a portfolio of world-class wines with a purpose: a collection of approachable yet rewarding vintages that help make our world a better place.” He has effectively done so with 7Cellars’ continuous support to the organization, Team Rubicon, whose mission is to train and deploy veterans in disasters and humanitarian missions, reuniting them a sense of purpose.
The Veterans at Team Rubicon have done countless missions, spanning from Hurricane Disaster Relief in the Gulf Coast to providing medical support for the COVID -19 stricken Navajo Nation, who experienced the highest per-capita COVID-19 rate in the U.S. last May. The Veterans at Team Rubicon treated over 3,000 patients, while other operations providing food to immune compromised civilians during lockdowns. With 7Cellars support, Team Rubicon has trained over 29,765 Veterans, with 785 operation missions worldwide.

The philanthropically driven wine company plans to double their donation this Veteran’s Day. “Our Veteran’s are one of this country’s most esteemed treasures. They deserve to be honored everyday” says CEO, Jeff Sperbeck, John Elway’s long-time friend and business partner.
It remains just as important as ever to remember the people that have served. 7Cellars want to honor that this year by doubling their donation to Team Rubicon.
