7Cellars was founded by professional football icon John Elway, and his long-time business partner, Jeff Sperbeck. With the success of Elway’s Steakhouses, John wanted to create a wine that would live up to his ideals and be a proud representation of his family’s name. They partnered with iconic winemaker Rob Mondavi, Jr. to release the company’s first vintage of Reserve wines -with a 2013 Cabernet and a 2014 Chardonnay. After five successful and sold out vintages of the Reserve, 7Cellars has expanded with a new collection. The Farm Collection was released in March of 2020. This collection is offered at a more approachable price point, but with the same superior quality for which the brand is known. Both Elway’s Reserve and The Farm Collection wines are found in retail stores and served in top restaurants and event venues across the country.
Team Rubicon -
With every bottle of wine purchased, 7Cellars makes a donation to its partners at Team Rubicon, a nonprofit organization that supports, trains and deploys U.S. veterans on disaster relief missions around the world. To date, more than 5,870 veterans have been supported through sales of 7Cellars wines. Years ago, as part of a USO tour, John Elway went to Afghanistan during the height of the conflict. He wanted to do what he could to recognize the value of our armed forces’ sacrifice and commitment.
At 7Cellars we source from premium and single vineyards for our wines. The Reserve wines are sourced from single vineyards in Napa Valley to enhance the quality and flavor profiles. The vineyards for The Farm Collection are sourced from AVA’s to which the individual varieties thrive. We source from Paso Robles, Arroyo Seco and Monterey for each varietal to maximize the most perfect wines.
